About the Course

This session is designed for family lawyers and particularly those appearing in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 1) and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2) . It offers a highly practical overview of 14  key Family Law Rules, with a focus on procedural compliance, risk management, litigation efficiency, ethical obligations, case strategy, and court expectations. Drawing on the presenters’ recent experience as former Senior Judicial Registrars and architects of the Courts’ case management pathway, the session aims to enhance professional skills to enable you to actively progress towards just, timely, and cost-effective resolution of family law disputes, while clarifying Rule variations between Division 1 and Division 2.

Our presenters have, combined, more than 40 years' experience in family law, and are both former Senior Judicial Registrars of the FCFCOA. They have extensive practical decision making and case management skills and experience.
